Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone

Explosions in the Sky are an instrumental band from Texas. Their music is reminiscent of songs on movie soundtracks that slowly build up to a long anticipated event. Their album only has six tracks, two of which are 12 minutes long. Many portions of the songs have nothing more then a guitar and bass. They play slow moving washes of melody, bit by bit moving away from quiet and gentle until BANG! The drums hurry the pace and the guitars flare up as hy-hatts explode like dynamite. It's great music to listen to while doing other things like reading or making out.
